Microsoft recently made available the CRM fall release for 2015 (CRM 2016) planned functionality release guide and accompanying video. As a fall release, this one will be available for both CRM Online and On Premises customers. For a CRM enthusiast such as myself, it’s terribly exciting to see the level of investment Microsoft continues to make in the CRM platform!
Here are my top five favorite features planned for this fall:
1) Full offline support for both the phone and tablet clients, including ability to brand the mobile experience, open links to records from emails, texts, or social posts directly in the CRM Mobile Apps, innovative specific mobile controls to make data entry/update significantly more mobile friendly, and access to documents stored in contextual SharePoint, Office Group, or One Drive for Business repositories.
2) Easy to use templates for Word and Excel to make document creation and spreadsheet analysis of the data you’re looking at right now in CRM much easier to format and distribute using tools you already know.
3) Native Delve integration to make finding content created throughout your company a snap to find.
4) Interactive Service Hub – giving customer-service agents a great web UI that’s been completely tailored (and point and click configurable) to help them get at the data needed to assist customers efficiently and deliver optimal customer experiences.
5) Integration with Azure Machine Learning to give users great advice on what their next best action should be, based solely on the data accumulated over time. This will start with product recommendations, knowledge article recommendations, and related case recommendations, but will continue to evolve rapidly.
That’s certainly not exhaustive, but a good sampling of what’s up their sleeve. I can’t wait for “fall”!
